[edit] The Cassini Alliance
The Cassini Alliance is a government formed by worlds and cultures that are among those "refugee" worlds remaining from an alternate United Federation of Planets that was destroyed when the pocket universe that housed it collapsed.
Often referred as to as "The Night the Stars Changed," these worlds and the resources they use fell hap-hazardly through the fabric of the broken reality into the current one. It is not currently understood what about the Cassini Nebula region of the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy might have caused these worlds to appear in this region of space above others within this reality.
Considering most of their origins are from an alternate Federation, their beliefs, customs, and government are similar to the UFP model.
At present, the Cassini Alliance is taking great care to preserve the secret of their existence as the find stability within the structure of their provisional government and military.

[edit] The Confederation
Not much is known about the Confederation yet as there have been no formal contacts between the Federation and Confederation yet. It is known through rumors that the Confederation is operates with on a stronger military footing in what is suspected to be close to a military state.
The Confederation traces its origins back to the Federation when a lost task force fell through a wormhole and never seen again. The task force traveled into the Ansolon Galaxy before another wormhole brought them to the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy where they merged their assets and philosophies with another culture, laying the foundations for the "Confederation" as it is today.
Although humans remain, their skin tones are in reddish hues.
- Diplomatic Relations / Threat Level: No diplomatic relations with tensions high and guarded during contact situations. Although it is believed the Confederation has conducted covert operations against the Federation, nothing has ever been proven.

[edit] Harrellian Republic
The Harrellian race is a bi-product of when an ancient race seeded the world that is Harrellia Prime with a vulcanoid and human tribes together eons in the past. Over the centuries, the two tribes blended until only the new Harrellian (mixed) tribe remained.
At a point in their history some 150 or so years ago, they created advanced forms of artificial intelligence, coming to rely on that intelligence as a master might rely on a slave. It cost them dearly as the A.I. became self-aware and declared war on their masters. For over a century and a quarter, the two races were at war with each one seeking to erradicate the other.
In the end, the Harrellian Republic emerged victorious.
After a couple of decades of peace, the Republic again knew chaos as all the worlds within their borders (originally from the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way in one reality) suddenly merged with those of the Nildan Imperium within the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy of another reality.
Tensions are high with war seeming eminent.
- Diplomatic Relations / Threat Level: Allied but the Harrellian Republic has attempted to pull the Federation into their building conflict with the Nildan Imperium. So far, the Federation has remained neutral in that matter.
