[edit] Major Character Awards
Major Character Awards are given to any character, who showed extraordinary service or gallantry and heroism above and beyond duty. These awards require the approval of CINCSF or the Fleet Commanding Officer/Task Force Commanding Officer (whenever the FleetCo is reffered, the Task Force CO can step in as well). Major awards can only be awarded to PCs (except the Star of Hope). The order below represents the degree of the awards.

| This award is given to any officer or enlisted, who distinguished himself or herself by extraordindary gallantry at risk of life in an action against an armed enemy in superior numbers or by rsiking his or her life above and beyond duty. The performance has to be done voluntarily. This award is given by the President of the Federation or the Commander in Chief, Starfleet.
This is the highest award in STF. It has to be approved by the game administration.

[edit] Federation Star (civilian medal)

| Highest civilian award for bravery. Recipients are chosen personally by the Federation President, and are selected because they put their own lives in extreme risk in order to save the lives of others, particularly a significant number of lives.

| This award is given to any officer and enlisted serving in Star Fleet or the Marine Corps, who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary heroism and gallantry in a military action against an armed enemy. The performance hasn't to be done voluntarily. This award is given by the Fleet Commanding Officer.
This is the second highest award in STF. It has to be approved by the FleetCO.

| This award is given to any officer and enlisted serving in Star Fleet or the Marine Corps who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary heroism not invloving the enemy in any combat action at risk of life. This award requires the same degree of heroism as the Star Fleet Cross. This award is given by the Fleet Commanding Officer.
This is the second highest award in STF. It has to be approved by the FleetCO.

| This award is given for to any member of an armed force of the United Federation of Planets or of an foreign allied nation, who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary heroism and gallantry in a military action against an armed enemy force.
This award is the third highest in STF. It has to be approved by the FleetCO.

| This award is given to any member of an armed force of the United Federation of Planets or of an foreign allied nation, who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary achievement or service out of his or her profession.
It has to be approved by the FleetCO.

| This award is given to any member of an armed force of the United Federation of Planets or of an foreign allied nation, who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary achievement or service within his or her profession.
It has to be approved by the FleetCO.

[edit] Star of Hope (Post Humous)

| This award is given only posthumous. It is given to any officer ot enlisted who lost his life in line of duty and in completing the mission with success. (can also be awarded to NPCs).
It can be given at the discretion of the Unit CO.

Minor character awards are given at the end of the mission for service above the demanded standards. If not noted otherwise they can be given by the COs discretion. General awards are given for exemplary and outstanding service and are higher than Field Specific Awards. Minor Character Awards can be given to PCs and NPCs.

| The Cross of Alexander is given to any officer and enlisted of Star Fleet or the Marine Corps, who distinguished himself or herself in devloping strategies or tactics, that only lead to the successful end of the mission.

| The Bronze Star is given to any officer and enlisted of Star Fleet or the Marine Corps, who distinguished himself or herself by heroism in an combat action or an extraordinary achievement.

| The Starfleet Commendation Medal is given to any junior officer or enlisted who distinguished himself or herself for outstanding heroism or for outstanding leadership.

| This award is given to any junior officer or enlisted for outstanding service in the field of diplomacy.

| The Comabt Action medal is given to any member of Star Fleet or the Marine Corps, who was under enemy fire or who was involved in a comabt under enemy fire.

| The POW medal is given to any member of Starfleet or the Marine Corps, who was prisoner or hostage of an enemy force.

| The CO's commendation is given by the CO to any member of his crew for outstanding service. It is given when the CO wants to award the crew member, but doesn't see any of the here described awards fit.
